Been having a pretty bad week for running/lifting/anything not-skating related… A bit of illness, a little bit of can’t-be-arsed-ness.

On the plus side though, skating is wonderful, magical, amazing, sparkly wow.

Been practicing more going backwards this last Tuesday and tonight and it’s coming along much better. It’s kind of amazing how much progress you can make within the space of a few hours.

On a grumpy note though, the heel in my right skate is playing slip-n-slide. I can’t quite get the shoe tight enough at the ankle/heel without putting too much pressure on the top of my foot. I might try wearing an ankle support or half a sock to pad out my heel a bit.

Gonna drag Fenton off to skate at an ice rink at the weekend. He loves it really…
