Got outside and skated for a few hours yesterday. Feel like I am actively improving every time I go, and I’m practicing various different skills.

I made a matrix of the skills I want/need to improve and where I am at with it. As I improve I can mark off how confident I am at that skill on the x axis. Hooray for charts!

I’ve been practicing and stretching off-skates. For example there’s a move called a “Mohawk” where your feet need to point opposite at 180′ angle. It’s hard, so I’ve been stretching my legs out to make it more comfortable. I’m also practicing pivoting and jumping in regular shoes, so that I can do these things more naturally while wearing skates.
